Because she's like Osaka in many, many ways.
Who is she and what anime is she from?
Kajiwara Sora from Sketchbook ~full color's~
It's worth mentioning that I thought Sketchbook was a pretty good anime. I haven't watched it since it came out though, so I'm not sure if it's held up over time.
From what I remember of her character, Sora is kind of a quiet, spacey girl that's like a hybrid of Sakaki and Osaka. She spends a lot of time in her head, but makes friends with the teacher and students of the art club.
The main theme of Sketchbook is Sora's inability to communicate with people normally and does it through her sketchbook. By the end of the anime Sora has come put of her shell and opened up to her friends.
I love how this thread just stopped being abt Osaka
Oh, right! This board has a spoiler function. Rarely used, but it's there.
I wonder what other functions we don't use. Are WEBM files supported?
I believe .webm files are supported (I don't have any to test that, though).
Strangely, .rar and .zip files aren't supported.
What, if anything is degenerate about the posts in the original thread? It really feels like the majority of the userbase here wasn't around or even alive during the Wakachan era. Imageboards really must be a dying medium if something in that thread managed to hit a nerve with someone.
Lewd talk. Need I say more?
You realize that this is an imageboard right? The internet doesn't revolve around what you think is morally right or wrong. I'm sure there is some dead VBulletin forum or Azumanga subreddit you can visit that would be glad to listen to the "wholesome" and groundbreaking discussion concerning Peter Griffin face edits and hear the same analogies to Nano and Sora that have been made over and over for the past decade. Osaka is a popular character from a well-known manga series, it is a given that ecchi and hentai exists of her. The ""lewd talk"" was literally the only actual two-way discussion on the character in the entire thread. I posted in that thread about potential lost media (The original Osaka doujin by House of Karsea) because I had hopes of getting it scanlated. I get that this series is over twenty years old and has been discussed to death, so most of the board quality was left behind on the old domain. The majority of the fanbase must've moved on with their lives after Wakachan shut down and I should probably do the same seeing that this board is now just children discovering the series for the first time.
Who pissed in your cornflakes?
Look, if you wanna keep the other thread active, bump it. I agree the other one isn't lewd or even particularly naughty, but if OP wants one that is totally wholesome, who says he doesn't get to make a new thread?
This may be an IB but historically has never been 4chan.>The internet doesn't revolve around what you think is morally right or wrong
Same goes for you, though. For all of us.
Osaka is cute AF, let's talk about her.>>3557
Were there posters with other anime characters during that campaign?
>>3559>Were there posters with other anime characters during that campaign?
There are a few others floating around, but I don't know if they're original or inspired by the Osaka one, which is by far the most famous.
Here's one for Popotan, an anime no one would remember if it weren't for the Carameldansen dance.
That poster kinda looks fake to me5, but I could be wrong. Cute as fuck, though.
I haven't seen Popotan because I never watch things based on visual novels, but since it looks cute I may.
Speaking of things I haven't watched>>3571>>3539>>3560
I hear it's brillant.
What are these great notes from?
Not sure. Found it today, some guy wrote an academic paper and his thesis seems to be that manga characters tend tolose their hands when they lose emotional control (which he calls HL
) and uses Azumanga as a case study.
I'm not sure how serious he was.
I wanted a picture of Osaka throwing sea cucumbers to go with the thread, and found it randomly.
Here, in case you wanna check it out: https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Visual-representation-of-emotion-in-manga%3A-LOSS-OF-Daioh/0adaf78632746024b02cae34d3100063ed42e25e

Don't waste your time, it's really quite terrible.
That's fascinating to me. I miss all those old galleries from the early days, before all things were centralized, and webrings were a thing.
Too bad most of those sites are dead.
Anyone has a certain fan-made series of manga from that era that is about Osaka in school before she moved from Osaka?
It's hosted on this very website, check the gallery link way up at the top.https://axypb.net/gallery/index.php
whoa that's a goldmine, thanks!
Where is her skirt?
You wear a skirt to the beach?
I guess that would get the skirt all samdy. But she has her uniform top why not the skirt also?
And why does she have a gun and butter/cheese?
So many questions.
Why a CD, also. May be a parody.
Funny how the butter is bothering me more than the gun.
I thought that was tofu (although it is pretty dark).
I feel like I've seen this image discussed once before and that it was a parody of something, but I can't remember and can't find anything online.
Actually made october 2020.
Poor Osaka didn't age very well after high school.
Where is the last image from anyway?
Ooh, I actually know this one!
That's Tsukiko Sagi, the protagonist from Paranoia Agent.
That's pretty funny!
I love seeing Azu art/panels with modern references, although they're about 20 years apart.
Where does the time go?
It's here bro. We made it.
>>5603>I love seeing Azu art/panels with modern references, although they're about 20 years apart.
It almost makes us forget that the girls are actually dead forever
This. I saw once a movie called Coco, and they explained that as long as you remember someone, they aren't dead. I don't know if that movie is fiction like Ghost, partially based on reality like Ghostbusters, or a documentary like Beetlejuice, but it sounds good and reasonable. The point is, as long as we remember Azumanga girls they'll live.
